Outride, a nationwide non-profit dedicated to increasing access to biking among youth, has announced $462,000 in matching community grants to 44 youth cycling organizations across the country, including the WRWC. These grants, provided under the organization’s Outride Fund, match funds to projects that engage youth in cycling, from education programs to community action. The Outride Fund grants are helping to bring the benefits of cycling to even more young people, while also helping to grow investment in youth cycling.
Outride Fund grants are unrestricted (maximum $15,000) funding that helps support everything from staffing and operational costs to direct program fees, scholarships, and equipment. Once awarded, program partners have a year to meet their goal. The WRWC’s Red Shed Bike Program is proud to be one of the Summer 2022 Outride Fund Partners! This funding will help us continue providing bicycle riding and safety education programs to children across the state.
