The WRWC was featured in the news this week!
Executive Director Alicia Lehrer spoke with ABC6’s Tim Studebaker about the WRWC’s Earth Week event series, highlighting the week’s kickoff event at Adams Lane on Tuesday. “It was a huge turnout. We had about 45 people there. Adams Lane is a great project, because it’s a new parklet that we’re developing on the Woonasquatucket River, just kind of on the border of North Providence and Smithfield.”
Earth Week events will continue through Friday, April 22, with clean ups and tree planting at Riverside Park and Promenade and Kinsley Pedestrian Bridge in Providence, as well as free canoe rides at Riverside Park.
