Downtown Providence Paddle – September 14th

Immerse yourself in the unique blend of urban and natural landscapes with our Downtown Providence Paddle. This exciting trip will take you through the hidden wilderness of the lower Woonasquatucket River, starting at the South Water Street boat launch. As you paddle through bustling downtown Providence, glide past Waterplace Park, and reach Eagle Square, you’ll discover a side of the city you’ve never seen before.

Stillwater Reservoir Paddle – September 21st

Experience the tranquility of the Stillwater Reservoir, the largest water body in the Woonasquatucket River watershed. This 300-acre reservoir in Smithfield offers a scenic escape with its wooded shores, islands, and rolling hills. Our paddle will take you through the picturesque “narrows of the Woonasquatucket,” under the historic Smithfield Viaduct, and up towards the Stillwater Reservoir dam. It’s a serene way to welcome autumn!

Pricing

  • Solo Kayak Rental: $35
  • Two-Person Canoe Rental: $50
  • Bring Your Own Boat: $20 per person

Note: The WRWC provides canoes, kayaks, paddles, and personal flotation devices (PFDs). All participants must wear a PFD. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
