With activities planned for every month, there’s never been a better time to get outside and connect with the natural beauty of the Greenway!

Kick Off the Season with Two Special Events

1st Annual Turkey Trot

Celebrate the holiday season with a leisurely Turkey Walk on the Greenway! Led by 15 Minute Field Trips, this casual stroll is open to all ages and abilities. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the crisp autumn air, take in the sights along the Woonasquatucket River, and spend quality time with friends and family.

Winter Bird Walk

  • Date: Thursday, December 28, 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Location: Fish Ladder on Goldsmith Street, Johnston, RI

Looking for a fun winter activity? Join us for a Winter Bird Walk where you’ll start by crafting your own bird feeder and then set off on a guided walk to spot local winter birds along the Greenway. Special guest Lisa from the Audubon Society will share her expert birding tips, making this event ideal for beginners and experienced birders alike. Binoculars will be provided for anyone who needs them.
