This past Saturday, WRWC partnered with Zero Waste Providence and Garden Time to join neighbors in an exciting day of revitalization at the Joslin Community Garden in Olneyville. Together, we rolled up our sleeves and cleared an impressive 53 bags of debris, making space for vibrant new native pollinator plants to thrive at the garden’s entrance. The collective energy of the volunteers and local residents brought new life to this important community space.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the event. This was only the beginning—stay tuned for Round 2 later this fall when we’ll return to continue the transformation!

A Bit About the Joslin Community Garden

Located between the soccer field and playground at Joslin Park, next to D’Abate Elementary School, this community garden has been serving the neighborhood for over a decade. With over a dozen spots currently available, the garden plays a vital role in bringing people together while encouraging sustainable living and supporting local ecosystems.
