We’re grateful to the Johnston Sun Rise for highlighting our work to build community around the Woonasquatucket River Greenway in Johnston!
Our reimagined Johnston Goldsmith Friends Group is about more than volunteering. It’s a chance for neighbors to explore the Greenway, learn about native plants and pollinators, discover local restoration projects, and help care for one of Johnston’s most beautiful public spaces.
As Andrew deLisle shared, many residents don’t realize they have “this green jewel right in their own backyard.” We’re excited to help more people connect with it through free monthly gatherings filled with learning, stewardship, and community.
– Join us this Saturday at the Goldsmith Street Fish Ladder in Johnston from 10 AM–2 PM.
