The WRWC was featured in the news!
The Valley Breeze shared word of the WRWC’s free community paddles being offered throughout the summer. The WRWC is pleased to be bringing back this popular community event. These free canoe rides are offered at Riverside Park on Thursdays from 4-6pm throughout August. Riders will be taken for a short paddle along the river for about a 10-minute loop with experienced staff, where they can see painted box turtles, red-winged black birds flying, and fish swimming along the river.
Paddles are open to riders of all ages, with life jackets provided by the WRWC. Snacks and water are also provided at each event. On-site registration is required. For more information, visit here.

This Community Canoe Program is made possible thanks to the generous support of recreation sponsors AARP Rhode Island and REI Co-op.
