On Friday, April 19th the WRWC team joined Ocean State Job Lots to celebrate Earth Day at their headquarters in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. We were honored to join fellow local businesses like Atlas Pallets, Ecogy Energy, and the Narrow River Preservation Association in sharing our environmental initiatives and community efforts.
Hosted by Ocean State Job Lot’s Green Team, the day was filled with informative sessions, raffles, and giveaways. Our associates and volunteers engaged in discussions ranging from renewable energy to community outreach, alongside organizations like the URI Master Gardener Program and Rhode Island Energy.
We’re grateful to Ocean State Job Lot and all participating businesses for creating an event that emphasizes the importance of waste reduction and environmental cleanliness. Together, we’re working towards a greener, cleaner future.
We’d like to extend a special thank you to both Sarah Barraco, OCJL Sustainability Manager, and Harry Oakley, OCJL Director of Energy, Sustainability, Facilities and Procurement, for involving the WRWC for this fun and informative event. Thank you to the other participating organizations as well!
