Providence Monthly has featured the WRWC’s Red Shed Bike Program and our Bicycle Education Director Donny Green this week!

The Red Shed Bike Program was founded in 2009 and over the years has become a beloved community asset providing bikes, maintenance, and riding lessons for cyclists of all ages. Donny Green has been a valuable partner in growing and developing the Red Shed, having helped raise funds for the program and teaching over 700 children how to ride bikes every year!

The Red Shed offers a Bike Camp every summer for kids aged 8-13. These seven one-week programs hosted throughout the summer teach children in the community how to bike safely and maintain their rides. And the WRWC is proud to say that our Red Shed program offers scholarships for kids in Providence who may not be able to afford the camp, so that every kid can learn to ride!
