Red Shed Bike Camp Registration is now open!!

At Red Shed Bike Camp, kids ages 8-13 spend a fun-filled week in the summer exploring the watershed on two wheels! Through the week, campers enjoy daily bike rides. They also learn safe riding skills, basic bike maintenance, and watershed stewardship. After a bike-filled week at camp, our campers leave with the freedom and independence of riding a bike safely and confidently, a new way to enjoy the natural beauty along the Greenway, and a sense of pride from learning new skills. The Red Shed offers special scholarships to qualified campers, providing access for all no matter their income.
Summer Bike Camp runs for 7 weeks each summer. Each year, summer bike camp sessions start early July and run to mid-August. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm in Riverside Park at the Red Shed.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting on March 1st. Once your application has been reviewed you will be contacted and informed if you are eligible for our camp scholarship. All scholarship participants will be able to register as soon as they are accepted. Due to the limited number of spots available each week it’s best to register as soon as you are approved to secure a spot in the week that works best for your family.

General Information
Location: The Red Shed Bike Shop at Riverside Park, 50 Aleppo Street Providence, RI 02909
Camp Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-3pm
Camp Price: $300 (July 1 – July 5 adjusted to $250 due to the shortened week)
Camp runs rain or shine with drop off and pick up at the Red Shed. Our rain location is a short walk up the bike path at Providence FOP Lodge #3, 40 Sheridan St, Providence, RI 02909
Bicycles are available for all campers for the duration of their week at camp. Your child can bring their own bike to camp but please make sure that it is in good working order. Personal bikes can be stored on site for the entirety of camp week.
Each camper will receive a new helmet to keep on the first day of camp and all campers are required to wear helmets any time we are on bikes.
Breakfast and lunch are available through the city of Providence’s summer food program. If you prefer or your child has special dietary needs you can pack them with a lunch. There is no camper access to refrigerators on site.
