Thank You for an Incredible 401Gives!
401Gives has wrapped up, and we are beyond grateful for the incredible support from our community. Thanks to 242 donors, we raised $25,246—surpassing our $25,000 goal! Every single donation, social media share, and message of support has made a difference, and we can’t thank you enough.
Your Support Powers Real Change
This isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about the impact. Your generosity fuels our work to restore the Woonasquatucket River, expand the Greenway, and create a healthier, more climate-resilient future for all.
We’ve shared some of the major challenges we’re facing—over $1 million in federal funding for urban forestry is currently on hold, putting tree planting and habitat restoration at risk. WRWC will keep moving forward. We’re planting trees, restoring wetlands, and protecting our watershed even in the face of these setbacks.
We’re also tackling water quality issues head-on, from long-term monitoring efforts to addressing contamination at the Centredale Superfund Site. Your donations help us continue this critical work, ensuring that the Woonasquatucket River remains a vital resource for our communities.
