On Wednesday, July 30, families gathered at Riverside Park for a special Starry Nights Cinema two-part event. The afternoon began with a hands-on stop motion animation workshop, where kids from across the city created and directed their own short films. No experience was needed—just imagination and creativity.

As the sun set, the park transformed into an outdoor theater. The student films were screened first, followed by A Bug’s Life, shown in Spanish. Popcorn was shared, blankets were spread out, and the evening brought the community together under the stars.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our partners Providence Children’s Film Festival, Providence Arts Culture & Tourism, and Providence Parks.

We look forward to more nights like this!
