In May, we wrapped up a free two-day Bike Skills Workshop series designed for both youth and adults—and while our group was small, we were mighty! Participants included young people and adults who were either learning to ride for the first time or sharpening their biking skills.
Led by WRWC’s Bike Education Team, the sessions covered key topics like rules of the road, helmet safety, right-of-way basics, and how to perform a bike safety check.
Session one, held indoors at Tri-County HEZ, focused on classroom learning. Session two brought us outside to North Providence High School for on-bike practice, where everyone had the chance to apply their new skills and gain confidence on two wheels.
We’re proud of the progress our riders made and thrilled to share the joy of biking with our community. Thanks to all who participated—you showed that even a small group can make a big impact!
