Do you love working outdoors and want to help care for one of Rhode Island’s most vibrant urban green spaces? The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) is hiring a Seasonal River Ranger to join our 2025 team through the fall.

River Rangers are the face of the Greenway — a 7-mile trail and park system stretching from Providence to Johnston. Rangers keep the trail clean and safe, help with landscape maintenance, and connect with the public to promote environmental stewardship. Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work, have strong people skills, and are committed to improving community spaces.

This is a full-time, seasonal position with an hourly wage of $18–$20 based on experience. We strongly encourage applications from residents of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed and members of historically underrepresented communities.

📩 To apply, send a cover letter and resume to Renee Stoops at rstoops@wrwc.org.
