Explore a beautiful stretch of Providence’s hidden wilderness from the water on a guided paddle along the Woonasquatucket River.

We’ll meet at 4:30 PM at the Kinsley Avenue Boat Launch to get boats and gear ready, then launch by 5:00 PM for an out-and-back paddle through the historic Valley District toward downtown Providence. Along the way, you’ll experience an urban wildlife corridor and learn more about the river that has shaped Providence and the history it holds.

The paddle will last approximately 90 minutes and travel at a leisurely pace to accommodate multiple experience levels. Participants should be comfortable paddling in a kayak or canoe for 90 minutes. If you would like additional assistance, reserve a canoe spot to paddle with one of our trained guides.
