Woonasquatucket River Community Open House
Join us for a community open house to learn about and help shape the future of the Woonasquatucket River Greenway in Johnston.
For more than 20 years, the Greenway has transformed underutilized land into vibrant public spaces that support recreation, reduce flood risk, and strengthen our community. Now, we are planning the next phase of improvements near Sherman Field, including trail expansion, stormwater management, and park enhancements.
At this open house, community members will have the opportunity to:
- Review and vote on two design concepts
- Learn about upcoming Greenway improvements
- Ask questions about river health and the Centredale Manor Superfund site
Representatives from EPA, RIDEM, and RIDOH will be available to provide information and answer questions.
