Join the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council for a FREE, family-friendly afternoon at the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center as we celebrate the end of summer, wrap up another great season of Camp Woonasquatucket, and welcome the community into our Smithfield home!

Whether your family joined us for camp this summer, you’re curious about the Conservation Center, or you’re simply looking for a fun way to spend a summer evening, everyone is welcome.

Fun for the Whole Family

There will be plenty to explore, create, and enjoy throughout the afternoon:

  • Play cornhole, make bubble art, and decorate the pavement with chalk
  • Design your own WRWC bandana to take home
  • Explore the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center during our Open House
  • Check out educational exhibits, including our “bones case”
  • Use the Wentz microscope to get an up-close look at cyanobacteria
  • Watch a slideshow featuring highlights from the second season of Camp Woonasquatucket
  • Meet some of our awesome camp counselors
  • Learn about priority placement for Camp Woonasquatucket’s 2027 season

Come hungry! We’ll have a variety of food, snacks, and treats available, including:

Celebrate Summer With WRWC

The Leo B-BQ is a chance to bring families, campers, neighbors, and friends together while showing off everything happening at the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center.

Come tour the space, meet the WRWC team, enjoy some food and games, and help us send off summer the WRWC way — with community, curiosity, and plenty of fun.
