Sunday July 7, 2019 @ 5:30 pm

Paddle through downtown Providence and see Little Rhody’s capital city in a whole new way, from the Woonasquatucket River! Starting on South Water Street, and travelling through Waterplace Park and under the Mall will take you on a magnificent journey, from the bustle of an urban center to an oasis of wildlife – you’ll see a beautiful Providence you may not have known existed. See red-tailed hawks, great blue herons and maybe a painted turtle! The complete trip is about 4 miles, and fine paddle for novice paddlers.

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) provides canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets, or paddlers can bring their own boats. Contact Paddle Leader, Erik Talley at etalley@wrwc.org or (401) 481-1376 if you have questions. Advance sign-up is required.
