Georgiaville Pond Paddle

Wednesday August 7, 2019 @ 5:30 pm

Join us for an evening paddle on scenic and peaceful Georgiaville Pond in Smithfield. We will put in at the historic Smith-Appleby House and make a 2 mile circuit around the pond. The paddle will take us past pretty, pine tree covered islands and a town beach, where we’ll take a short break and paddlers will have the option of jumping in for a swim!

The pond is generally smooth and quiet, which makes for easy paddling. Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) provides canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets, or paddlers can bring their own boats. Contact Paddle Leader, Erik Talley at etalley@wrwc.org or (401) 481-1376 if you have questions. Advance sign-up is required.

If you are using one of our solo kayaks the price is $40/person. Two-person canoes are $30/person ($20/person for extra passengers). If you’re bringing your own boat the price is $20/person.

If you are bringing your own boat please remember to bring a life jacket for everyone who will be in your boat.

Space is limited, so sign up today! Advance sign-up is required.
