The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) and the Coalition for a Multilingual Rhode Island (CMRI) are thrilled to announce a new community initiative designed to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM, neighbors  are invited to the Olneyville Resilience Hub, located at 17 Hyat Street, Providence, RI 02909, for an enriching experience of language learning and cultural exchange.

This weekly event is an excellent opportunity for individuals aged 16 and older to improve their English and/or Spanish through engaging activities and interactive lessons. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to polish your language skills, this program is tailored to meet diverse needs in a supportive and friendly environment.

“We’re excited to bring together community members to learn from each other and grow together,” said David Morales, Community Programs Director at WRWC. “This initiative not only promotes language learning but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of our diverse cultural backgrounds.”

In addition to language lessons, attendees will benefit from childcare services and light refreshments, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all participants.
