Celebrating Growth at the Joslin Community Garden

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Garden Party at the Joslin Community Garden! With more than 50 community members and an incredible lineup of partner organizations, we welcomed spring and celebrated the transformation of this special green space in Olneyville.

Since last fall, the garden has been steadily coming back to life. Together with local gardeners, we’ve cleared invasive plants, restored garden plots, installed a new compost system, and welcomed new neighbors into the space. Saturday’s celebration was all about recognizing the time, care, and teamwork that made this possible—and looking ahead to a bright planting season.

We’re especially grateful to the Olneyville Resilience Hub, Olneyville Neighborhood Association, PVD Things, 15 Minute Field Trips, and the Providence Neighborhood Planting Program for bringing energy, creativity, and resources to the day. From sapling planting and pot painting to insect hotel art and garden tours led by local growers, the afternoon was filled with hands-on fun, good food, music, and sunshine.

Thank you for growing with us. We can’t wait to see what comes next in the Joslin Community Garden!
