That’s a Wrap! Celebrating Another Season of Community Paddling!
Another great season of exploring the Woonasquatucket River is in the books!

Throughout the summer and early fall, WRWC’s Recreation team welcomed community members onto the water through free paddling events at Riverside Park, the new Kinsley Avenue kayak launch in Providence, and the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center in Smithfield.
This season included regular community paddles at Riverside Park, paddling adventures with our summer campers, and a guided downtown paddle on September 24 that gave participants a chance to explore the newest section of the Greenway from the water.

These programs help make the river more accessible, introduce people to outdoor recreation, and offer a different perspective on the wildlife and natural spaces right in our communities.
A huge thank-you to our Recreation team, volunteers, and everyone who joined us on the water this season! We look forward to seeing you out there again next year.

In the meantime, there’s still plenty happening along the Greenway! Explore upcoming activities at wrwc.org/events.
