Get Ready for the Ultimate Summer Adventure at Camp Woonasquatucket!

Hey, young explorers (and parents of young explorers)! Are you ready for a summer filled with adventure, discovery, and a whole lot of fun? We’re beyond excited to introduce Camp Woonasquatucket, an Environmental Education Camp designed for kids who love the outdoors, getting their hands dirty, and learning about the wild world around them.

Nature, Fun, and a Whole Lot More!

Located at the beautiful Leo Bouchard Conservation Center in Smithfield, RI, Camp Woonasquatucket is packed with hands-on activities that’ll spark curiosity and fuel a lifelong love for nature. Here’s what campers can expect:

  • Wildlife Adventures – Hike through lush forests, observe birds, track animals, and even catch (and release) critters!
  • Mad Scientist Moments – Dive into cool science experiments that explore water, soil, and the creatures that call it home.
  • Bugging Out – Become a bug detective and learn all about the six-legged world beneath our feet.
  • Creative Nature Crafts – Get artsy with upcycled and natural materials.
  • Water Wonders – Splash around, investigate aquatic life, and learn about conservation efforts to keep our rivers clean.
  • Hands-on Conservation – Work on real projects that help protect local habitats!
  • Oh, and did we mention snacks? Because no great adventure happens on an empty stomach!

  • July 7 – July 11 (Ages 8-10)
  • July 14 – July 18 (Ages 11-13)
  • July 21 – July 25 (Ages 8-10)
  • July 28 – August 1 (Ages 11-13)
  • August 4 – August 8 (Ages 8-10)
  • August 11 – August 15 (Ages 11-13)

Camp Details

  • Time: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Location: Leo Bouchard Conservation Center, Smithfield, RI
  • Max Capacity: 15 campers per session
  • Tuition: $250 per camper
  • Sibling Discount: 50% off for the second child

Why the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center?

We couldn’t have picked a better home for our camp! This newly-ish renovated environmental education hub is a dream for outdoor learning—with a waterfront on Stillwater Reservoir, access to Wolf Hill trails, and even a kayak and canoe launch. WRWC and the Town of Smithfield teamed up to make this center an incredible space for conservation, recreation, and hands-on environmental education. It’s the perfect basecamp for our young adventurers!
