Camp Woonasquatucket Wrap-Up Celebration: A Perfect End to Our First Summer
Camp Woonasquatucket’s very first season went out with a bang and what a celebration it was! On Friday, August 22, we welcomed campers, families, and friends to the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center for an afternoon of food, games, music, and plenty of summer fun.
Our Education Team put together an unforgettable event featuring cornhole, bubbles, chalk art, sack races, and a water balloon toss, perfect for cooling off on a warm August afternoon. Guests toured the beautiful grounds, visited our interactive exhibits (yes, the “bones case” and Wentz microscope were a hit!), and relived camp memories with a highlight slideshow.
We were thrilled to see so many families come together to celebrate everything our campers accomplished this summer. Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our hardworking staff and counselors for making this first-ever camp season so special, and to our amazing food vendor for keeping us fueled with BBQ favorites, pizza strips, lemonade, and sweet treats.
This event was more than a party; it was a celebration of community, outdoor adventure, and a shared love for the environment. We can’t wait to build on this success and welcome even more campers for the 2026 season.
