“Salvelinus fontinalis,” oil on panel by Jacob Gorke

During the month of November 2022, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) will be presenting Vibrant Life in the Woonasquatucket River Watershed, an art gallery sale hosted by Sprout CoWorking. Vibrant Life in the Woonasquatucket River Watershed celebrates the Woonasquatucket River, and the community of artists who have been an integral part of our work. This exhibit and sale will also raise awareness of and funds for the WRWC’s programs and activities.

We invite work that has been shaped by the Woonasquatucket River and its connected waterways. We encourage work across disciplines that brings forward questions about human impacts on the environment, points of tension, and we also encourage work that celebrates the vibrancy of our shared resources.

The WRWC has a deep appreciation for the artists, students and volunteers who have created beautiful works of art along the river and in its watershed. We are so excited to see art sale submissions from old friends, new friends, and those who we have yet to meet. See our online gallery of art along the Greenway.

We are encouraging all artists to apply for inclusion in this show. All mediums are welcome, including drawings, paintings, photographs and 3-D sculptures. If you are interested in showcasing your work at our event, please use the submission form below. The deadline for submissions is September 8, 2022. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Violet Windham, vwindham@wrwc.org.
