Valley Breeze: August 3, 2021

PROVIDENCE – On Thursdays, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council will be offering free canoe rides for adults and children in the community, starting at the fish ladder at Riverside Park in Providence.

These community paddles will run throughout August and are part of the 2021 Explore the Woonasquatucket recreational series which offers guided tours of beautiful and historic sites throughout the Woonasquatucket River watershed, with paddle trips, hikes, and bike rides – while following State Covid-19 guidelines.

Pre-registration is not required but every participant must complete a WRWC waiver or have one signed by a parent. Adults and children are welcome. The WRWC recreation staff will be at the fish ladder from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
