FISH FUN(D) TO RAISE 50K! DONATE TODAY, THEN PAR-TAY!

“WHERE’S MY MONEY GOING?” GLAD YOU ASKED…YOU PICK! You can make sure that our programs bring joy, learning, and new skills to even more people. Give today, or at the Fish Fun(d) party on August 1—or both! You can focus your donation on a single program area, spread your generosity out among several, or make an unrestricted gift to make sure your support goes to where it matters most. Thank you!

Help us raise $11,200 for the Woonasquatucket River Greenway and the River Rangers!

These funds will allow us to purchase four durable picnic tables for Providence’s Riverside Park to replace several that have given their all. And to make sure that the Rangers can do their best work out on the Greenway, they need boots! A great pair of boots that will keep our Rangers safe and happy all summer long costs $150, and we’ll be investing in 8 pairs.

Help us raise $8,000 for our Community Programs!

These funds will help cover stipends that support our Nuevas Voces participants as they expand their community leadership skills. Each participant receives up to $800, so your donations will allow us to include even more community residents in this popular and impactful program. We will also use your donations to add joy and fun to our Community Programs. Your generosity will help fund field trips, bingo nights, film screenings, and the Olneyville Resilience Hub block party planned for later this year.

Help us raise $10,000 for our Environmental Education Programs!

We want to bring our “Birds of a Feather: Mindfulness Together” in-school program to two additional 3rd and 4th grade classrooms in schools within the Woonasquatucket River watershed. This program offers young people opportunities to learn about birds and, in the process, themselves. Your generous support will make all the difference,

Help us raise $8,400 for the Red Shed Bicycle Programs!

Your donations will fund Summer Bike Camp scholarships for 28 young people. We’re excited to offer this expanded financial support so that even more neighborhood kids can experience the thrills and skills of bike mastery.

Help us raise $5,000 for our Recreation and Watershed Exploration Programs!

Your donations will go directly to support our free weekly summer community paddles in Riverside Park. These paddles run all summer long, offering hundreds of residents an opportunity to canoe with an experienced guide and see the wild beauty of their urban neighborhood.

Make an unrestricted donation to support EVERYTHING we do!

When you choose to make an unrestricted gift, your donation will go wherever it’s needed most! Thank you for your generous ongoing support.

NOW THAT THAT’S COVERED, LET’S DANCE!

DJ THIRSTY

The evening kicks off with beats from DJ Thirsty, known offstage as David Allyn. David has worked hard to become a patsy for his alter ego, Unkle Thirsty, or simply “Thirsty” to his friends. A New Jersey native and “D” grade celebrity in Providence, Rhode Island, Thirsty has cultivated a small but dedicated group of nomadic theatre enthusiasts and mobile DJ music supporters. His pop mash-ups and occasional drink-serving make him a popular figure in the Northeast, promising a lively and energetic atmosphere for the night.

SCREAMING UNICORN

Guests will be treated to delicious food provided by Screaming Unicorn. Founded in 2023, Screaming Unicorn started as a tiny, one-woman show in the Annex taproom at Buttonwoods Brewery. The tasty, thoughtful, weekly changing menu quickly gained the attention of brewery regulars and new patrons alike. Over the past year, Screaming Unicorn has grown more than ever imagined, allowing them to follow Buttonwoods to their new home on Sims Ave in Providence. The culinary team consists of founding Chef Stephanie Rapoza and her partner in life and all things food, Chef Ray Pagliarini. With their combined 30+ years of experience, these two mythical creatures bring bold, magical flavors to the neighborhood. Their menu features a variety of pub snacks, sandos, and their latest additions, wood-fired pizza and wings.
