Clean-up at the Joslin Community Garden
This past Saturday, WRWC teamed up with Olneyville neighbors for a community clean-up at the Joslin Community Garden. Over 45 volunteers and gardeners rolled up their sleeves to help prepare the garden for the upcoming growing season. In addition to garden members, a ton of volunteers showed up just to be good neighbors. Together, they laid down wood chips, prepped garden beds, and gave the space the attention it needed to thrive this spring. Thanks to everyone’s hard work, the garden is now ready to be fully utilized and will be a beautiful, productive space for the community.
A huge thank you to Zero Waste Providence, the Southside Community Land Trust, Bloom Rhode Island, and the Rhode Island Foundation for their generous support through resources and funding assistance. Your contributions made this project possible!
If you’re interested in connecting with the space or would like to volunteer in the future, don’t hesitate to reach out to joslincommunitygarden@gmail.com or India Jencks at (206) 617-2333.
