Powder Mill Ledges Walk on June 10th
Come with the WRWC on a hike at Powder Mill Ledges. This site is home to 100 acres of habitat graced with deep woodlands and interesting rock outcroppings. The 2.5 miles of trail pass by a lovely brook and pond and play host to a wide variety of birds and wildlife including Wild Turkey, Cooper’s Hawk, Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, Pine Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Red and Grey Fox and many others. You will also find the Audubon Society of Rhode Island headquarters at this refuge. Total hiking time should take less than two hours. Bring your binoculars!
