Date: Sat., 5/11/24

Time: 10:00 am

Where to Meet: Trailhead and parking is on Waterview Drive, Smithfield, RI 02917

There is a parking lot off Waterview Drive for the Smithfield Conservation Center. Please park in the lot and not on Waterview Drive.

Get lost with us in the beautiful Wolf Hill Preserve in Smithfield. Wolf Hill is a long, rocky, north-south ridge running through the middle of the town of Smithfield. Guided by the WRWC’s recreation staff, you’ll follow a gently rolling trail that’s about four miles round trip, leading to Mercer Lookout, where we can see views of the Providence skyline and beyond. This hike is rocky at times and is recommended for hikers who are steady on their feet. Hike time is about two hours. We’ll start our hike near the trailhead at the Leo Bouchard Conservation Center, the site of an exciting partnership between the WRWC and the Town of Smithfield. The WRWC’s Education Program Director, Amanda Peavey will give a tour of the WRWC Education Center!
